It includes: Training scripts to train on any keypoint task data in MSCOCO format A collection of models that may be easily optimized with TensorRT using torch2trt This project can be used easily for the task of human pose estimation, or extended for something new.
Allows the reading-impaired to hear both printed and handwritten text by converting recognized sentences into synthesized speech. Using the IAM Database, with more than 9, pre-labeled text lines from different writers, we trained a handwritten text recognition.
Vision-based traffic congestion method […] to reduce vehicle congestion […] by predicting timing adjustments for each traffic light phases. Conventional signaling systems [are] time-independent, [turning] to red and green without any estimation of current traffic. This [project extracts] traffic parameters from a live stream, predicts timing adjustments for traffic lights and passes predicted timing adjustments to existing systems.

Read up about this project on. Specifically in the United States, there are 1. This is due to how expensive books are to read in braille. Due to the price, very few blind people are able to learn through books.NVIDIA Jetson Nano - Full Linux Review + Gameplay
People who are reading impaired or suffer vision loss also struggle to read. While many can use audio-books, they are still limited on what they can read based on audio books' availability and costs. Books are the cheapest way to learn and million people are unable to take advantage of this resource we greatly take for granted. The Reading Eye device would allow more freedom in terms of book choice, without having to make investments towards buying several audio-books.
It is able to detect printed and handwritten text and speak it in a realistic synthesized voice.
Jetson Nano B01 – Dual Raspberry Pi Cameras
My whole inspiration for this project was to help my grandmother who's vision degrades everyday due to age. I then thought of all the others who suffer due to bad vision or reading disabilities which motivated me to pursue this project. Note: When I refer to "your computer" I am referring to a Ubuntu While this tutorial can all be done using a Jetson Nano, I would not recommend it because it is slow during heavy processing compared to a traditional desktop machine.
As stated above, I recommend a clean install of Ubuntu Instructions on installing Ubuntu can be found here. After installing Ubuntu, run this:. We first need to train a model that can recognize handwritten text. We will be using Tensorflow 2. In terms of data, we will use the IAM Database. This data set comes with more than 9, pre-labeled text lines from different writers. To access to the database you gave to register here. We can now download all necessary files. First clone the Training GitHub Repository in your home folder of your computer:.
Next, we need to setup a virtual environment and install the required python modules:. Next, we can download the database Note: replace your-username with your username and replace your-password with your password from registering :. After downloading the database, we need to transform it into a HDF5 file:. Now, we need to open the training. Select the Copy to Drive tab in the top left corner of the page. Then, go onto your Google Drive and find the folder named Colab Notebooks.
You screen should look like this:. Go back to the training. To check, find the Runtime tab near the top left corner of the page and select Change runtime type.
Customize the settings too look like this:. Select the Console tab and enter this:. Your screen should look like this Note: if you get an error about not able to paste into the console, type "allow pasting" as seen below :. Now let's start training!
Simply find the Runtime tab near the top left corner of the page and select Run All.Looky here:. We previously wrote up how to use the Raspberry Pi Version 2. Note that several other manufacturers now offer compatible cameras, some with interchangeable lenses. The driver for the imaging element is not included in the base kernel modules. Installation of the camera is the same as on the earlier development kit, and the Raspberry Pi. Installation is simple. On a Camera Connector, lift up the plastic camera cable retainer which holds the ribbon cable in place.
Be gentle, the retainer is fragile. Once loose, insert the camera ribbon cable with the contacts on the cable facing inwards towards the Nano module. Make sure that the ribbon cable seats all the way into the connector. The tape on the connector should face towards the outer edge of the board. Then press down on the plastic tab to capture the ribbon cable, applying even pressure on both sides of the retainer.
Some pics natch :. Once you have the cameras installed, you can easily test them. The examples in the CSI-Camera examples have been extended to support the extra parameter. You can checkout v3. The third demo is more interesting. The example in the CSI-Camera repository is a straightforward implementation from that article. This is one of the earlier examples of mainstream machine learning. These are written in Python. One of these tools is a very simple minded time profiler which allows you examine the elapsed time for executing a block of code.
This is written as a Python class in the file timecontext. You can play with the samples, like we did in the video. Of course, this is only if another CPU is available. This is all handled transparently by the operating system. Dealing with the camera hardware in a separate thread provides several advantages. Typically the main thread has a loop usually referred to as the display loop which gathers the frame from the camera, processes the frame, displays the frame in a window, and then yields for a short amount of time to the operating system so that other processes can execute.
These processes include things like reading the keyboard, mouse movements, background tasks and so on. By reading the camera in another process, we get the benefit of reading the camera frames in a timely manner, regardless of the main loop speed.
This helps with obvious frame speed mismatches, say when you are using a camera that is providing fps, but the display loop can only show Reading through the code, you will see that the camera read saves the latest frame. When the display loop requests the latest frame, the CSI-Camera instance will return the latest frame that it has received from the camera. This effectively skips over any frames that were not consumed by the main loop, essentially discarding them.
Processing video data is all about picking the smallest amount of data that you can get away with and still receive consistent results. The shared memory fabric allows the processors to share memory freely without incurring extra memory copies known as ZeroCopywhich efficiently improves bandwidth utilization and throughput of the system. Supported video codecs: H. Pin-compatibility with Jetson Nano allows for shared designs and straightforward tech-insertion upgrades to Jetson Xavier NX.
Hardware design partners from the Jetson Ecosystem are also able to provide custom design services and system integrations, in addition to offering off-the-shelf carriers, sensors, and accessories.
Through software, it will change the number of CPU and GPU cores available, in addition to setting the core clock frequencies and voltages across the system. The patch is fully reversible can be used to approximate the performance of Jetson Xavier NX prior to availability of the hardware.
Depending on workload, the Dynamic Voltage and Frequency Scaling DVFS governor scales the frequencies at runtime up to their maximum limits as defined by the active nvpmodel, so power consumption is reduced at idle and depending on processor utilization. The nvpmodel tool also makes it easy to create and customize new power modes depending on application requirements and TDP. The maximum throughput was obtained with batch sizes not exceeding a latency threshold of 16ms, otherwise a batch size of one was used for networks where the platform exceeded this latency threshold.
This methodology provides a balance between deterministic low-latency requirements for realtime applications and also maximum performance for multi-stream use-case scenarios.

The only other thing I noticed about this install is that it used Python2. I don't know if that affects anything, or it just needs that or the build. Virtual envs are Python 3 only at this point. This looks like Numba has either not been built, or was not installed where it should have been. Can you elaborate on this part of your description? That wasn't explicitly stated in the install docs, but easily fixed.Oxygen price per cubic meter
The LLVM install that I linked above the gistwhen you do the Cmake build on it, it uses Python2 as the executable, and I couldn't find a way to change that. I'm unclear why the location of the Numba source tree would impact the error you are seeing, unless there is something unusual about your environment.
Where was it located before you moved it? Version 0. I think this all points to some sort of environment related mix up? Skip to content.
